Preparing for Adulthood
Preparing pupils for successful adult lives is at the heart of our curriculum. From the moment pupils join TILT Education, we support them to identify their strengths, interests, aspirations and future goals, ensuring they leave with recognised qualifications, greater independence and a clear pathway into further education, employment or training.
Our careers programme allows pupils to explore a broad range of career opportunities, develop employability skills, gain experience of different vocational pathways and understand the qualifications and skills required to achieve their ambitions.
At Key Stage 4, pupils follow personalised Employability Pathways, allowing them to specialise in vocational, technical and creative areas that reflect their interests and aspirations. This personalised approach increases engagement, develops confidence and independence, and equips pupils with practical, industry-informed skills that prepare them for life beyond school.
High expectations are maintained for every learner through an ambitious and inclusive curriculum. Learning is carefully adapted to meet individual needs through appropriate reasonable adjustments, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum and make meaningful progress. Regular curriculum review ensures our provision remains responsive to pupils’ changing needs, local opportunities and the skills required for successful adult life.
